Visage Dental Academy wants as many people as possible to be able to use this website and our courses. This statement explains how accessible the site is, what we are doing about the parts that are not, and how to reach us if you meet a barrier.
We publish this voluntarily. We are not a public sector body, so the Public Sector Bodies Accessibility Regulations 2018 do not apply to us, but we do have a duty under the Equality Act 2010 to make reasonable adjustments for disabled people and we take that seriously.
1. How accessible this website is
We are working towards the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2 at level AA. We are not fully there yet. We know about the following problems:
- Some course videos do not yet have captions or a transcript.
- Some older PDFs, including question papers and mark sheets, are not tagged for screen readers and cannot be resized without losing quality.
- Some images added to older course pages do not have useful alternative text.
- Colour contrast falls below the required ratio in a few places, mostly on older landing pages.
- Parts of the site are built with third-party components (the course player, the checkout and embedded video) whose keyboard and screen reader behaviour we do not fully control.
- Some page content has not been checked at 400 per cent zoom or at narrow screen widths.
2. What we are doing about it
- New videos are published with captions, and we are working back through the existing library.
- New documents are produced as accessible PDFs or as web pages. Older documents are being replaced as courses are updated.
- Alternative text and heading structure are checked when a page is edited.
- We raise accessibility problems in third-party components with the suppliers concerned.
3. Getting content in a different format
If you need something from this site in a different format — a transcript, large print, plain text, or a document read out to you — email info@visagedentalacademy.com or call 07946 687 364. Tell us the page or document you need and the format that works for you. We aim to reply within 5 working days.
4. Adjustments on our courses
If you need an adjustment to take part in a live class, a hands-on session or a mock examination — extra time, a quieter room, materials in advance, or a break schedule — tell us when you book, or as early as you can. We will discuss what we can do and confirm it with you before the course starts.
5. Reporting a problem
If you find an accessibility problem that is not listed above, please tell us at info@visagedentalacademy.com. It helps if you can say which page you were on, what you were trying to do, and what happened. We aim to acknowledge reports within 5 working days.
6. If you are not happy with our response
If you contact us about an accessibility problem and you are not satisfied with our reply, please use our Complaints Procedure. The Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS) gives free advice on the Equality Act 2010 and can be contacted through equalityadvisoryservice.com.
7. Technical information
This website is built on WordPress. This statement was prepared on 4 September 2026 on the basis of our own review of the site rather than a formal external audit. We review it at least once a year and whenever the site changes significantly.
